Jay Kubassek: Founder and CEO

As he tells it, in four years, Canadian-born entrepreneur Jay Kubassek went from selling mufflers at a Midas franchise to revolutionizing Internet marketing with the 2004 launch of CarbonCopyPRO.

He hasn’t taken a breather since. The proprietary online marketing system, now available in over 40 languages in 160 countries, is worth over $20 million.

While Jay takes his success on the road as a consultant — helping companies utilize the power of the Internet to explode their marketing ROI — the home-based business industry remains his bread and butter. In 2008, he created BiB (Business-In-A-Box), a streamlined start-up tool for entrepreneurs seeking to run their own online marketing concerns. Together, CarbonCopyPRO and BiB level the playing field for individuals in the direct marketing business, providing leverage equal to that possessed by the industry’s most seasoned veterans and much larger companies.

Jay’s entrepreneurial spirit is irrepressible. He’s also a professional speaker and trainer, international real estate developer/investor, executive film producer, extreme sport enthusiast and emerging philanthropist.

2008 represents a high-water mark in Jay’s oeuvre. In addition to the BiB launch, Chelsea on the Rocks, his first exec-produced film, debuted at the Cannes Film Festival to solid reviews and open in theaters across the US fall of 2009. He has since started an indie film production and distribution company called Alquot Films and is producing another documentary with Spike Lee. He was the lead driver in the 2008 Baja 1000 off-road race. And, in December of ‘08, his team won the silver trophy in the World Elephant Polo Association’s amateur division championship in southern Nepal.

Jay’s drive to develop new business opportunities is matched only by his desire to give back. The Name Campaign in Africa, The Children’s Institute for Autism, The Salvation Army, The Tracy McGrady Basketball Camp, Mount Sinai Juvenile Diabetes, and The National Breast Cancer Foundation are among the recipients of his philanthropic generosity.
