Sponsoring New York Blue

The internet marketing company joins FOLIO Collections, Wildaid and Continental Airlines as a proud corporate sponsor of New York City`s first and only elephant polo team.

New York, NY, November 22, 2008 — “CarbonCopyPRO (Carbon Copy the PRO`s) is proud to join FOLIO Collections, Wildaid, and Continental Airlines, as a 2008 corporate sponsor of the New York Blue Elephant Polo Team, member of the World Elephant Polo Association (WEPA) for the 2008 World Elephant Polo Championships in Nepal this December,” says founder and CEO, Jay Kubassek.

New York Blue is only the fourth American team in the tournament`s 27 year history and it is the first team to ever represent the Big Apple. A proud member of this truly international competition, New York Blue will be playing alongside teams from countries like Nepal, India, Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, Scotland, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Norway, Hong Kong and the Bahamas.

Jay Kubassek, who is also an honorary member of the 2008 New York Blue team, says that this strategic alliance will not only further the “renegade” and “cutting edge” branding of CarbonCopyPRO, but it will also serve an incredible cause. The main purpose of the tournament is to raise funds for schools, medical clinics and conservation efforts in South Asia.

CarbonCopyPRO is already involved in charities worldwide including The Name Campaign in Africa, The Children`s Institute for Autism, The Salvation Army, The Tracy McGrady Basketball Camp,

Mount Sinai Juvenile Diabetes, and The National Breast Cancer Foundation, says Kubassek.

Since the New York team does not have the luxury of training on real pachyderms, practices are held in parking lots with players sitting aloft SUVs!

New York Post covers a recent New York Blue practice:

On a recent November Sunday afternoon, the city`s first and only elephant-polo team rode dueling Cadillac Escalade and Navigator rooftops in a practice session for the World Elephant Polo Association championships in Nepal later this month. The pachyderm stand-ins jockeyed for position while the New York Blue Elephant Polo Club members tried at once to thump the ball with 9-foot metal mallets – and not get catapulted onto the asphalt. At least in Nepal, the six pioneers will play on grass. The tourney is from Nov. 30 to Dec. 6. “We`re just trying to master the use of a mallet,” said Blue team captain and Out magazine editor Bill Keith, who noted that in Nepal the elephants are trained to return dropped mallets to riders with their trunks. Not only is Elephant Polo a sensationally abstract and exciting sport, it also serves a great cause. The WEPA`s chief beneficiaries include:

The International Trust for Nature Conservation–A British registered charity founded in 1980 by Tiger Tops chairman Jim Edwards for the purpose of protecting the many parts of the world where wildlife is threatened by human activity. ITNC works by initiating conservation projects and handing them over to local communities once they are successfully established. It provides grants for scientific research, promotes tree-planting and soil improvement ventures and supports initiatives that provide sources of income for local communities as alternatives to logging, poaching and other ecologically destructive practices.

Tiger Tops Swissair Pre-school–A head-start program for underprivileged children in Nepal. The school`s students receive two meals a day, health care, uniforms and schooling–all free of charge. In exchange, parents grow vegetables for students` meals in the school`s organic gardens.
