Write Your Own Story
I would say, without being an anthropologist, or any other form of society studying academic, that the act of story telling is most likely the most common denominator that we share as human beings. Since the dawn of civilization (possibly earlier depending on how you consider the context) the most common, simplistic and powerful form of communication is the art of the story.
Stories impart lessons of morality in our youth, inspire us in moments of anguish as adults, they animate our imagination with inner promise when it seems there is none to be found. Stories color the depths of our being, and recall the blessings of a life well spent when our Autumn arrives. What we often fail to recognize is that each day, when our eyes open to a new dawn and dusk, a fresh piece of paper is laid before us.
Like a journal of infinite pages, or a canvas that will stretch as far as you allow it to, each new day presents an opportunity for us to compose the story of our lives. The question that remains, is who will be holding the pen?
We are often told or taught, to visualize a goal. To see ourselves in accomplishment. Conceptualize the feeling that will ensue. But what of the journey, what of the pursuit?
I’ve often thought there is equal nobility in the labor, as well as the accomplishment, of our dreams. The moments of doubt, discouragement and triumph are all meaningful parts of how we shape the person we are, and the person we seek to become. What is often missed in this discourse is that story that unfolds as we strive for something, is under our control as well.
Ask yourself each morning, as your feet take their infant steps of the day, how do I want my story to bloom today. In this living theatre of ours, remember You are the director and the actors, You are the writer, the set designer, You are the audience to your own life.
I’ve spoken and written about leaving a legacy; what we as individuals do for the betterment of more than simply ourselves. However, what we all must realize is that a legacy is built everyday. It is built in the choices and moments that seem to have no consequence, the moments that are filled with tedious details, questioning and bouts with the reins of persistence as we do all we can to stay on track. A legacy is more than a trust fund or a inheritance, a summer house, or even a college endowment. Your legacy is the story of your everyday. What you do with the hours, minutes and seconds that you own, because they are your own.
I challenge each and every one of us to grab that pen, each and every day, put ink to the pages. The script is yours to create, yours to enjoy, yours to make real.
Remember this: “the impossible, is often left untried”
All My Best,

I love the reference to theatre, because I am in the movie biz and is really cut-throat and that is why I googled home businesses, which can be done anywhere in the world and came across Gregg Davison’s site. He was so sincere in what he said and it was like I was meant to find it that day.
I purchased the BIB, yesterday because, when I initially did it a week ago it was somehow not processed. Luckily for me, I’m tenacious and feel that I deserve a better and less stressful life, than working yourself to a standstill, that you feel as though you running on adrenaline and when I went on holiday, I was ill for 3 weeks following the shooting period of 2 months non-stop !Typically going for wealth and neglecting ones health scenario.
I probably listened to each of your videos over 30 times, I lost count. One can pick up the sincerity and your helpful nature in your voice and it is very motivating.Spending the weekend and Monday going through all the training and videos and eagerly await ,my BIB to be delivered in London. I am from South Africa, just visiting the UK, but I would prefer to be able to fly anywhere I wish, whenever I wish to and Just simply be FREE, to do as I please and not trade time for dollars, as you say!
I’ve checked out a few businesses online, on how to make pounds wherever you are and ended up with a dollar income biz-just as good.No other business offers the training you guys do though, one always feel as though-you don’t know where to go next and gets lost somewhere along the way. You guys at Carbon Copy Pro follow through and keep contact and just when you think that you lost, someone is their to find and help you.Online videos are brilliant and keeps one motivated.
Thank you for this excellent empowering opportunity, I’m very grateful to you for starting this business. I know that I only go started, but I can feel where its going to lead me-straight to the TOP !
See you soon

Thanks for the reminders… that every day is new, and that we have the choice to “paint” our own lives and to take time to enjoy the process. I’m a writer at heart and I will do well to get back to the stories of my life even as I wind my way towards the goals. I often forget to enjoy the journey and to take note of the realizations and progress I’ve made along the way.
Thanks again,
Betsy
Great article, Jay. Success is not a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow – It is the journey we take in our strive to reach our goals. So often we feel like we are not successful because we have not yet made that loft income we seek… Without cherishing each moment of our evolution as a better human being. That miraculous journey needs to be journalled as your story!
I would agree, without being an anthropologist either, that the greatest leaders of the world have had the uncanny knack of getting people to share into tneir vision by telling stories that sell their ideas.
I know of a great spiritual leader who wrote his own story telling stories of others who voiced the common questions of society. His books fly because people buy into his stories and get the answers they seek.
Isn’t the bible a great lesson in selling-by-telling?
the gentle strength of conviction and purpose poised between the lines, your words full of life’s passion and potential define the challenge of the moment and inspire my sleeping giant to move out into the world, one sunrise at a time.

Great story Jay, when I was younger, way younger during a rain storm I would always watch for a rainbow. But then I would ask my mom to take me out and find the end of the rainbow, she would try to tell me the rainbow was in the sky. But I would always insisted to go out. So we would drive for awhile and I would tell mom to go that way or this way but we never would find it. Well eventually the rainbow would pass. I would sit back and wonder if mom was right, and the rainbow was just up in the sky. Then one day she sat me down and told me that having that strong of an imagination I can be anything I want to be. After working in corporation for a few years I forgot about that. Well ever since I started with Jay, and his team I now have time to spend with my kids and learn about that imagination again. I can now run my business better and hang out with my kids more.
Thank you Jay for an another inspiring article, success to me is the by product of a great journey, the effort put forth, trying, even against impossible odds, the extra effort expended when we do not seem to be making any progress, that one more step, the determination to carry on to the finish.
Hay jay thanks for the aaaaaahhhhhhhhh to use my imagination for better marketing and following a great leader like you. So glad to be here
That’s a good one from your desk Jay. Well, life is known not to be a bed of roses, even if it is, roses have their thorns. so each goal should have in it purpose, passion, persistence, planning, people and prayer to be actualized. i believe just as you do that each person is directly responsible for his failures and successes. But i don’t believe in failure. instead i agree with Sir Winston Churchil who said that”success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm” As a matter of fact failure is a process that leads to success. One more thing i think is important as we go by our day is to have in mind that we want to make each day count. To making it count is really important to writing a good self story and finish strong.
Dear Jay,
I have been with CCP for about 1 month and first of all would like to thank you for providing this great opportunity to so many people. Second and most important is that I have just created my blog and my 1st post was taken from your letter the other day on stories. Pretty cool and thanks!

Thanks Jay for reminding me not to forget the joy of living each moment as it comes. I’ve now come full circle, having lived most of my life always being a person of the moment, in recent times I had my eyes opened to living a responsible financial life. And now I’m reminded not to forget the daily life, which is all I ever have.
Thanks again brother for making Carbon Copy Pro such an outstanding company. May the life and energy you, Aaron & Alan pour into it be an example to business owners everywhere.
